This walking tour is an excellent introduction to visitors who are in Bath for the first time & I would be delighted to introduce you to its charms and share my enthusiasm for this special city. You will see why Bath deserves its Unesco World Heritage status. It is remarkable how much of the stunning 18th Century Georgian architecture remains and you will walk in the footsteps of many famous people who visited for 'The Season ' or lived here, including , of course, Jane Austen and recently the cast of Bridgerton !Bath is used frequently as a film location. You will learn so much about Bath, past and present. Your visit includes the Pump Room, Abbey, Sally Lunn's, Thermae Bath Spa, Theatre Royal, Queen Square, Royal Crescent, The Circus, Assembly Rooms, Pulteney Bridge, Great Pulteney Street, River Avon and we will stay outside. After or before the tour you may wish to visit the spectacular Roman Baths and can book your tickets online
I can meet you from your train, Charlotte St car park, in front of the Abbey or at your city centre hotel. Please request where when booking. Whilst I give an introduction to Bath's fascinating history, we will look at all the main attractions, stopping outside as I tell you about the places and the people who lived there. Much of the tour will naturally focus on the Georgian period and will include life in Bath as Jane Austen experienced it. There are plenty of photo opportunities. The tour is a walking tour and the following will be viewed from outside. *Bath Abbey *Pump Room, *Bathing Establishments and Hot Springs * The Circus * Royal Crescent * Pulteney Bridge * Assembly Rooms * Gravel Walk * And more. . . . ! This tour can be partially customized and to save time or energy we can use a taxi to go up the hill. (Cost less than £10 for the group. Recommended if starting at the station. ) If you would like a more relaxed or detailed tour of 2 and a half or 3 hours, please message me for a quote
