Ring of Kerry - Dingle Peninsula - Killarney National Park Wild Atlantic waters, cinematic headlands, picturesque lakes and formidable peaks - County Kerry is the Ireland from legendary movie scenes and epic dreams and spectacular hikes, there's so many incredible things to do in Kerry. Killarney is the ultimate Gateway for exploring South West Ireland's three wild Atlantic Peninsulas - Dingle, Beara and Iveragh - and the world-famous Ring of Kerry. Killarney makes it easy to enjoy nature - to be as active or as laid-back as you choose. There are easy strolls and challenging hikes, trips and tours, bike hires and boat rides. Traditional horse-drawn jaunting cars - with their drivers known as "jarveys" - wait in the centre of town to take visitors into the National Park. You can take a jaunting car through the hauntingly beautiful glaciated valley, the Gap of Dunloe; or enjoy a boat trip across the three lakes which is a magical tour experience.
Day 1 Ring of Kerry Tour So the Iveragh Peninsula is the actual name of the piece of land but we all refer to the circular drive around the peninsula as the Ring of Kerry. The drive is 179km (about 111 miles) and many people do this all in one day. Day 2 Dingle Peninsula Tour Dingle is a small port town on southwest Ireland's Dingle Peninsula, known for its rugged scenery, trails and sandy beaches. A statue of long-time harbour resident Fungie the dolphin is by the waterfront. Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium has penguins, otters and sharks. To the northwest, Gallarus Oratory is an ancient dry-stone church with sloping sides. Clifftop Dún Beag is a prehistoric promontory fort to the southwest. Rolling hills which lead to amazing scenery and white sandy beaches and panoramic view of the famous Blasket Islands and Skellig Micheal.
