The Melbourne Cricket Ground - or simply The 'G as locals refer to it - is Melbourne's iconic building; it is our Taj Mahal, our Opera House, our Statue of Liberty. Melbourne is home to Grand Prix, Grand Slams, Grand Finals, Group 1s and so much more, all located within easy strolling distance of the city precinct. I have lived in Melbourne my whole life and worked in sports and events for most of my working life so I am passionate about my city and its culture. This tour not only takes you through the sports precinct but we also make sure you cover off some great city highlights on your Melbourne trip, visiting some particularly special places to me, including the delightful and historic Fitzroy Gardens, St Pauls Cathedral, Flinders Street Station and all sides of Melbourne's Arts precinct.

This tour is predominantly a walking tour but we are able to take trams (either free service or part of your tour fee) to shorten some sections if mobility is an issue or if you are simply feeling a little leg weary.

Meet outside Transport Bar at Federation Square, on the south or river side of the pub. Look out for the tour guide playing with a tennis ball. That'll be me! And whatever you do, don't use Apple Maps to locate "1 Princes Walk" as this is an incorrect location and not where we meet!
